[ He'll just move Wen Kexing properly into position after he falls asleep. It certainly won't be the first time he's done so. ]

Rest, Lao Wen. You need it. It'll be fine. I'll be fine.

You're too comfortable.

( An aimless grumble, like an overtired child. But he resettles easy enough. There's very little wine left in the bottle he clutches and he peers at it suspiciously before that too he abandons, tucked under his arm to avoid the spill. It makes sense to him. )

There's nothing to you, Ah-Xu, so why are you so nice to lay on?

[ Is he this silly when he's drunk too? He hopes not. On Wen Kexing, though, it's endearing, and he sighs even as he rolls his eyes. ]

You're so drunk you'd find even a rocky ground comfortable to sleep on.

[wifedup]

A rocky ground isn't as pretty.

( He smiles, grin toothy. )

Nor as much fun company. May I never sleep on the ground again as long as I have Zhou Zishu's knobbly knees to rest upon.

Any more complaints about my knobbly knees will result in you actually sleeping on the ground.

( Hand reaching out to clutch Zhou Zishu by the fabric at his chest. )

Aiya, what a cruel man. I'm being good, I'm being good!

( He heaves out a sigh, rolling his eyes playfully. )

Some husband.

[ He threatens, but he wouldn't actually banish Wen Kexing to the ground. Zishu sighs, petting Wen Kexing's hair again. ]

Sleep it off, Lao Wen.

[wifedup]

I want to look at you some more.

( But he is tired, and Zhou Zishu being there is enough that most of his usual hackles are lowered. He blinks a few times, sleepy, more or less already on the cusp as he has been the last while. )

It's nice. ( A yawn. ) Getting to.

You can look your fill in the morning.

[ Especially since Wen Kexing tends to wake earlier than he does. ]

No grousing when you find me doing just that.

( His eyes close, voice drifting quietly. )

If you call me creepy I'll be upset.

You can look as long as you want, Lao Wen.

[ Quiet, matching Wen Kexing's volume. And then, because he can't help himself: ]

Just don't wake me up.

( He makes a noise in response, some exhausted grumble, but whatever dispute he has he doesn't have the energy to put into words. Sleep overtakes him easily, easier than it should to a man like Wen Kexing, but maybe that is Zhou Zishu's influence.

Maybe, just maybe, he feels safe enough around him to actually let go. )
